S+L, D+P AND CCCB DOMINATING SOCIAL MEDIA

...not really.

So let me get this straight, Salt + Light has access to the Gagliano family fortune, and Development + Peace gets mucho deniros from Catholics in the pews and other sources. Big operations, they are. Yet their archenemy LifeSite News, on a relatively miniscule budget (more diminished now because of Fr. Gravel's antics), far exceeds them in Facebook "likes" combined. Interesting. Telling. Is it not?

Seems it would be a good idea for a certain someone to retain a badly needed public relations consultant.

Note also that Salt + Light "likes" D+P's Facebook page. Hmmmm. Wonder what side it's on in the 2-year running scandal? Note further that Bottled Water Free Campuses and Communities (a campaign by the Canadian Federation of Students) "like" D+P's Facebook page. Wonder what is the CFS's view on abortion? Is this a clue? Further note that D+P's logo is also at the base of the page. It also appears that CUPE's logo is on the CFS "bottle water free" page too. Wonder what is CUPE's take on abortion? Is this a clue?

The Star Chamber has 5 "likes" on Facebook as of today.

I have a big post on deck nearly ready to go. But given its "attack mode" content and that it is Holy Week, it will be posted this upcoming Monday or thereabouts. Some of the parties mentioned above are involved in the analysis.

Have a holy Easter.

P.S. Easter is not about the cuteness of little bunny rabbits. Instead, serve one up for Easter dinner. Add extra salt and light for enhanced taste. Goes down well with bottled water ;)

This inspired me to check a few things out. EWTN has 70,749 likes. The USCCCB has 27,387 in comparison. The CCHD doesn't have a Facebook page, but the Reform CCHD page has 1076 likes. We can see who has the rank & file support down here.
Like you said, telling.
I'll be having lamb, after I take out a loan because of how expensive it is this year.
Buona Pasqua!

Let's perform a brief mathematical analysis:

S+L "Likes" = 3257 and EWTN "Likes" = 70749. Therefore, the former only has 4.6% likeableness when compared to the latter (3257/70749=0.046). The former is more of a "national broadcaster", but still...

USCCB = 27387 "likes" and CCCB = 5 "likes". Thusly, the latter has a mere 0.018% likeableness when compared to the former (5/27387=0.00018257)

Yup, the numbers seem correct.

I wish more of the people who like the orthodox sites lived in my area.

Re: The USCCB/CCCB comparison. Wonder if that aligns to the number of good Bishops down here to up there. I say that since we do seem to have a few more, no many but some.

That's the sort of inequality I like to see! Happy Easter TH2!

It is a good thing when your readers laugh. Generally, I'll try to inject humor in a sentence or two to lighten the load of the often serious subjects covered. Thanks, Christina.
