of harsh reality, I say...That was kinda my thought too. Christianity in our time has been reduced to a mere social club or political institution.
I know many members of that "social club" you mention.
All that was missing was the Holy Water, but since he is supposed to be Anglican, that is understandable.
I would welcome - indeed encourage - any Anglican churchman like that to take advantage of B16's Ordinariate and cross the Tiber.
Pretty sad when Catholic priests have to be taught how to be catholics by Angelicans. Guess their Bishops are not doing their jobs. In Massapequa Park at Our Lady of Lourdes, our conservative former Pastor of 32 years was forced to retire, and a TV Personality Msgr James Lisante became the Pastor, and immediately attacked the parish
because we uncovered his buddy that came to whip the parrish into a Liberal parish, was found out to have had his faculties suspended by his Bishop of Chalan Kanoa, Mariana Isle., Tomas Comacho, some time after 2000. Because of our actions, the Bishop William Murphy was forced to have him removed and sent back to the Mariana Isle., which he never returned to. I have been fighting a one man battle with liberal Catholics?(maybe), and Wicca
witches, on the Topix Blog in Elmont ny "Is it right for the new pastor to attack his parish?", and "cutting of the
Pastors roll called vindictive(re the old pastor)". The Apostasy that has taken hold of the Catholic Church, will sooner or later cause the fall of the Catholic Church. When the laymen have to teach the Bishops, and Pastors, how to behave like Catholics, you know we are eroding from the inside out.

Ah, yes... well aware of the cleric you mention. He has a penchant for hanging out and hobnobbing with celebrities. I recall a post on what he's done to OLL at the Rorate Caeli blog around this time last year. Not sure if he's still doing that TV interview show.
